£500.00

I stand in the dark waiting for the light - Self portrait original painting by Chris Shopland Acrylic on 50 x 50 cm canvas board

50 × 50 cm canvas board
54 × 54 cm framed

I wanted to capture the light and accuracy of a portrait but without literal real life colours, every so often I wish to show what I can do but its more fun to play in the bizarre. This wa sprioduced using a grid method, you can see the grid is left, I wanted to show this is not traced, grids help accuracy but there will be human errors that give this charm. This has to be seen to believed.

While we would happily have a Van Gogh self portrait, it feels weird offering “my face” for sale, all paintings support me and my creative life and living, but here you are directly celebrating that with displaying me. the photo was by my friend angel2firephotography , using great contrast lighting, her instagram can be found
here

important please note there is only one painting, I just have not figured out how to add these options with one stock take yet, so choose just one option unframed or framed.
