Title:Divine Rebellion

Medium: Acrylic and coloured pencils on 16 x 20 inch mixed media paper
The female form is endlessly captivating to me, not only a sa source of attraction but artistically for flow of shapes—powerful, expressive, and ever-evolving. In Divine Rebellion, I explore this beauty through transformation and symbolism.
This piece portrays a winged figure, a fallen angel with a halo set ablaze, bathed in light yet surrounded by the decay of a dim, gritty bathroom. The contrast between purity and chaos sets the stage for a deeper narrative.
She is both siren and succubus—radiant on the outside, yet wrapped in layers of mystery and mischief. What thoughts flicker behind her eyes? What hidden intentions dance just beneath the surface?
Divine Rebellion invites the viewer to confront both the allure and danger of desire, the tension between light and shadow, and the stories that live in liminal spaces. Par too the more intense series of artworks. As we are complex beings, I can’t and won’t stick to one subject matter. A different approach with this warm background setting the stage.
Frame in mock up is for illustration purposes only, will be sent unframed.
